New MUGA Facility opened at St Bernadette’s Primary School
5 August, 2015
Playinnovation have completed construction of a brand new MUGA facility at St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School in Harrow. The £50,000 Sports Area was officially opened on Tuesday 14th April 2015 by Head teacher, David O’Farrell and Chair of Governors, Mrs Pamela Singh OBE who cut the ribbon to announce the MUGA as open to the pupils.
Marco boi, Managing Director or Playinnovation™ was also in attendance and offered a few words of thanks to the School and gave the pupils a challenge to come up with the best rules to play the game which increased their excitement to start using their new facility.
The 14m x 25m pitch with a synthetic sand dressed carpet has been installed in place of one of the three existing tarmac netball courts and includes educational sports games walls Street Snooker™ and Crossbar King as well as provision for football, basketball, cricket and short tennis, for the pupils to enjoy for many years to come.
Headteacher, David O’Farrell said “We are delighted with the MUGA. I have been very impressed with Playinnovation™ from start to finish. They were very keen to work with us, understanding our needs and they have been very professional in all areas. I highly recommend them. The installation of the MUGA court was incredibly efficient and completed within a short time-span of less than 2 weeks. When the children returned after the Easter holidays they were greeted by the wonderful sight of the new court and the awe and wonder on display was a joy to see. Since then the court is always in use.”
The new facility offers the teachers and pupils of St Bernadette’s Primary School a facility which can be utilised to deliver a comprehensive range of activities which were previously difficult to provide.
