Street Snooker to feature at Watford FC Open Day on July 24th
18 July, 2011
Playinnovation, is set to feature STREET SNOOKER at Watford Football Club’s open day at West Herts Sports Club on Sunday July 24th. The event runs from midday till 4pm located close to the club's Vicarage Road Stadium.
"STREET SNOOKER” an innovative and addictive football target wall game designed by London company Playinnovation. Players kick (or throw) a ball against a green kick wall that looks like a giant snooker table. The aim is to score points by hitting the red triangle followed by a colour to see who can get the highest consecutive scores and increase their skills. To define the difficulty level, you spin a yellow wheel on the scoreboard to select which ground spot to shoot from and then choose your target.
Marco Boi, local entrepreneur and inventor of the game, is a lifetime Watford fan and hopes that one of the first team can beat the current world record high break of 135 by Irishman Chris Maher. “Street Snooker can be enjoyed by the whole family as a really fun outdoor sports activity and we are delighted to work in partnership with Watford FC to showcase the game for free. Come and have a go on the day. Lets see if we can find any future strikers for Watford!”
With existing installations already in several parks across England, it is hoped that more communities will get behind the concept and join the upcoming national leagues.
